༈ རྗེ་བཙུན་སྒྲོལ་མ་ལ་འདོད་དོན་གསོལ་འདེབས་ནི།
Prayer to Noble Lady Tārā
རྗེ་བཙུན་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མ་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཅན། །
jetsün chomden dema tükjé chen
Noble and compassionate Tārā, we pray to you:
བདག་དང་མཐའ་ཡས་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི། །
dak dang tayé semchen tamché kyi
may all of us, beings, infinite in number,
སྒྲིབ་གཉིས་བྱང་ཞིང་ཚོགས་གཉིས་མྱུར་རྫོགས་ནས། །
drip nyi jang zhing tsok nyi nyur dzok né
may we purify the two obscurations, swiftly perfect the two accumulations,
རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཐོབ་པར་མཛད་དུ་གསོལ། །
dzokpé sangyé topar dzedu söl
and so attain the state of perfect awakening!
དེ་མ་ཐོབ་ཀྱི་ཚེ་རབས་ཀུན་ཏུ་ཡང༌། །
dé matop kyi tserap kün tu yang
Until then, throughout all of our lives,
ལྷ་དང་མི་ཡི་བདེ་བ་མཆོག་ཐོབ་ནས། །
lha dang miyi dewa chok top né
may we find supreme happiness among gods and humans!
ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པ་སྒྲུབ་པར་བྱེད་པ་ལ། །
tamché khyenpa drüpar chepa la
May all obstacles to the attainment of omniscience,
བར་ཆད་གདོན་བགེགས་རིམས་དང་ནད་ལ་སོགས། །
barché dön gek rim dang né la sok
all harmful forces, all sickness and disease,
དུས་མིན་འཆི་བར་གྱུར་པ་སྣ་ཚོགས་དང༌། །
dümin chiwar gyurpa natsok dang
all that brings untimely death,
རྨི་ལམ་ངན་དང་མཚན་མ་ངན་པ་དང༌། །
milam ngen dang tsenma ngenpa dang
all bad dreams and evil omens,
འཇིགས་པ་བརྒྱད་སོགས་ཉེ་བར་འཚེ་བ་རྣམས།
jikpa gyé sok nyewar tsewa nam
the eight danger and all harm—
མྱུར་དུ་ཞི་ཞིང་མེད་པར་མཛད་དུ་གསོལ། །
nyurdu zhi zhing mepar dzedu söl
may all be swiftly pacified and purged!
འཇིག་རྟེན་འཇིག་རྟེན་ལས་ནི་འདས་པ་ཡི། །
jikten jikten leni depa yi
May auspiciousness, happiness, and prosperity,
བཀྲ་ཤིས་བདེ་ལེགས་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་རྣམས། །
trashi delek pünsum tsokpa nam
both worldly and transcendent,
འཕེལ་ཞིང་རྒྱས་པའི་དོན་རྣམས་མ་ལུས་པ།
pel zhing gyepé dön nam malüpa
flourish and expand, and may all our wishes
འབད་མེད་ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ་པར་མཛད་དུ་གསོལ། །
bemé lhün gyi drüpar dzedu söl
be effortlessly and spontaneously fulfilled!
བསྒྲུབ་ལ་བརྩོན་ཞིང་དམ་ཆོས་འཕེལ་བ་དང༌། །
drup la tsön zhing damchö pelwa dang
May we endeavor in the practice, may the Dharma spread,
རྟག་ཏུ་ཁྱེད་སྒྲུབ་ཞལ་མཆོག་མཐོང་བ་དང༌། །
tak tu khyé drup zhel chok tongwa dang
may we always meditate on you, and behold your perfect face;
སྟོང་ཉིད་དོན་རྟོགས་བྱང་སེམས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ། །
tongnyi dön tok jangsem rinpoché
may we realize the nature of emptiness, and may precious bodhicitta
ཡར་ངོའི་ཟླ་ལྟར་འཕེལ་ཞིང་རྒྱས་པར་མཛོད། །
yar ngö datar pel zhing gyepar dzö
develop and expand, just like the waxing moon!
ཅེས་རྗེ་བཙུན་གྲགས་རྒྱལ་གྱི་གསུང་ངོ༌། །

༈ རྒྱལ་བའི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་བཟང་ཞིང་དགའ་བ་དེར། །
gyelwé kyilkhor zang zhing gawa der
May I be reborn in a beautiful lotus flower,
པདྨོ་དམ་པ་ཤིན་ཏུ་མཛེས་ལས་སྐྱེས། །
pemo dampa shintu dzé lé kyé
in that excellent and joyous buddha realm,
སྣང་བ་མཐའ་ཡས་རྒྱལ་བས་མངོན་སུམ་དུ། །
nangwa tayé gyelwé ngönsum du
and may the Buddha Amitābha himself
ལུང་བསྟན་པ་ཡང་བདག་གིས་དེར་ཐོབ་ཤོག །
lungtenpa yang dak gi der top shok
grant me the prophecy foretelling my enlightenment!
བཟང་སྤྱོད་ལས་སོ། །

༈ བདག་གིས་ཚེ་རབས་སྔོན་ནས་བསྒྲུབས་པའི་ལྷ། །
daki tserap ngöné drüpé lha
Divine goddess whom I’ve accomplished in previous lives,
དུས་གསུམ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀུན་གྱི་ཕྲིན་ལས་མ། །
dusüm sangyé kün gyi trinlé ma
Noble Lady, who performs the activity of the buddhas of all three times,
སྔོ་ལྗང་ཞལ་གཅིག་ཕྱག་གཉིས་མྱུར་ཞི་དཔའ། །
ngo jang zhel chik chak nyi nyur zhi pa
swift heroine, blue-green, with one face and two hands,
ཡུམ་གྱུར་ཨུཏྤལ་བསྣམས་པའི་བཀྲ་ཤིས་ཤོག །
yum gyur utpel nampé trashi shok
mother who holds an utpala flower—may all be auspicious!
འཕགས་པ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་གསུང་ངོ༌། །

༈ རྒྱལ་ཡུམ་སྒྲོལ་མ་ཁྱེད་སྐུ་ཅི་འདྲ་དང༌། །
gyel yum drölma khyé ku chindra dang
Victorious mother Tārā—with your noble form,
འཁོར་དང་སྐུ་ཚེའི་ཚད་དང་ཞིང་ཁམས་དང༌། །
khor dang kutsé tsé dang zhing kham dang
your entourage, lifespan, and pureland,
ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་མཚན་མཆོག་བཟང་པོ་ཅི་འདྲ་བ། །
khyé kyi tsen chok zangpo chidrawa
and your fine and excellent marks—
དེ་འདྲ་ཁོ་ནར་བདག་སོགས་འགྱུར་བར་ཤོག །
dendra khonar dak sok gyurwar shok
may I and all others become just like you!
མདོ་སྡེ་ལས་ཚིག་བསྒྱུར་བའོ། །
From the sutras.
༈ ཁྱོད་ལ་བསྟོད་ཅིང་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པའི་མཐུས། །
khyö la tö ching sölwa tapé tü
Through the power of our praise and supplication,
བདག་སོགས་གང་ན་གནས་པའི་ས་ཕྱོགས་སུ། །
dak sok gang na nepé sa chok su
bestow upon each one of us, no matter where we be,
ནད་གདོན་དབུལ་ཕོངས་འཐབ་རྩོད་ཞི་བ་དང༌། །
né dön ül pong tap tsö zhiwa dang
freedom from illness, from harm, destitution, and conflict,
ཆོས་དང་བཀྲ་ཤིས་འཕེལ་བར་མཛད་དུ་གསོལ། །
chö dang trashi pelwar dzedu söl
and make the Dharma and auspiciousness increase!
ཆོས་རྒྱལ་ཁྲི་སྲོང་གི་གསུང་དུ་གྲགས་སོ། །
These are said to be the words of the Dharma King Trisong Detsen.
