A Concise Aspiration for Rebirth in the Lotus Covered Realm
namo guru buddha bodhisatvaya
Homage to the gurus, buddhas, and bodhisattvas!
khyepar mijé jikten nup kyi chok
You, in particular, dwell to the west of our Sahā World,
pemé khepé zhing na rap zhukpa
in the Lotus Covered Realm—
pemé nyugu terchen chokgyur ling
the great tertön Chokgyur Lingpa as Lotus Essence.
kechik tsam gyi dzü té kyewar shok
May I miraculously take birth there, in a single instant!
This aspiration was humbly arranged by Phakchok Tulku on the convergence of two special occasions—the fifteenth day of the seventh Tibetan month and the full moon that is also the anniversary of my root guru, Nyoshül Khen Rinpoché's parinirvana—using lines from the aspiration by Jamgön Kongtrül (The Sphere of Universal Joy) with minor changes to their order and to some of the words. Through this, may the wisdom visions of the glorious gurus be fulfilled, and may the teachings of Khyentsé, Kongtrül, and Chokling flourish! Sarva mangalaṃ. May this bring virtue! May this bring goodness!
