ཨོཾ༔ གཞི་ཐོག་དང་པོའི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང༌༔
om༔ zhi tok dangpö sangyé küntuzang༔
Oṃ༔ Primordial Buddha Samantabhadra, the ground of being:༔
རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའ་རྡོ་རྗེ་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས༔
dorjé sempa dorjé dezhin shek༔
Vajrasattva, Vajra Tathāgata,༔*
དཔའ་བོ་ཆེན་པོ་འགྲོ་བ་སྐྱོབ་པའི་མགོན༔
pawo chenpo drowa kyopé gön༔
great hero, lord and protector of beings–༔
བདག་ལ་བརྩེར་དགོངས་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྤྱན་གྱིས་གཟིགས༔
dak la tsergong yeshé chen gyi zik༔
turn your love towards us; gaze on us with eyes of wisdom!༔
ཨཱཿ གདོད་ནས་མ་སྐྱེས་ཡེ་ནས་རྣམ་དག་ཀྱང༌༔
ah༔ döné makyé yené namdak kyang༔
Āḥ༔ All is from the beginning unborn and primordially pure,༔
འཁྲུལ་ངོར་གློ་བུར་ཤར་བའི་ཀུན་རྟོག་ལས༔
trül ngor lobur sharwé küntok lé༔
yet conceptual thoughts, arising momentarily in our deluded minds,༔
མ་རིག་གཟུང་འཛིན་རྐྱེན་སྣང་ཉམས་ཆག་ཀུན༔
marik zungdzin kyenang nyamchak kün༔
cause ignorance, dualistic perception, impairments and breakages,༔
དག་ཆེན་ཆོས་དབྱིངས་ཡུམ་གྱི་ཀློང་དུ་བཤགས༔
dakchen chöying yum gyi long du shak༔
which we confess now in the expanse of the dharmadhātu mother, utter purity!༔
བཛྲ༔ གསང་བའི་བདག་པོ་རྡོ་རྗེའི་དམ་བསྒྲགས་པ༔
benza༔ sangwé dakpo dorjé damdrakpa༔
Vajra༔ Lord of Secrets, Vajrapāṇi who declared the vajra decree–༔
སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས་གསང་ས་མ་ཡ་འབུམ་གྱི༔
ku sung tuk sang samaya bum gyi༔
of all the hundred thousand secret samayas of wisdom form, speech and heart,༔*
དམ་ལས་ཉམས་ཤིང་ཚིག་ལས་འགལ་བ་གང༌༔
dam lé nyam shing tsik lé galwa gang༔
whichever vows we have impaired or pledges we have broken,༔
རབ་ཏུ་གནོང་ཞིང་འགྱོད་པས་མཐོལ་ལོ་བཤགས༔
raptu nong zhing gyöpé töl lo shak༔
with deepest remorse and regret, we acknowledge and confess them here!༔
སཏྭ༔ ཉམས་པ་སྐྱོན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་དུས་འདས་ནས༔
sato༔ nyampa kyön du gyurpé dü dé né༔
Sattva༔ Now that the time has elapsed in which impairments become faults,༔
ལས་ཀྱི་གཉེར་འཛིན་རྡོ་རྗེ་མཁའ་འགྲོ་ཡི༔
lé kyi nyerdzin dorjé khandro yi༔
causing the harsh retribution commanded by the vajra dakinis,༔*
བཀའ་ཡི་ཆད་པ་དྲག་པོའི་རྒྱུར་གྱུར་པའི༔
ka yi chepa drakpö gyur gyurpé༔
whose stern task it is to exact these measures,༔
འདི་ཕྱིའི་སྒྲིབ་གྱུར་དམྱལ་ཆེན་རྒྱུ་བསགས་བཤགས༔
dichi drip gyur nyal chen gyu sak shak༔
I confess having obscured this life and the next, by accumulating the causes of the great hells.༔
ཧཱུྂ༔ འདོད་པའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཡེ་ནས་རྡོ་རྗེ་ཆེ༔
hung༔ döpé gyalpo yené dorjé ché༔
Hūṃ༔ King of Passion, great primordial vajra,༔*
དམིགས་སུ་མེད་ཅིང་ཉམས་དང་བཤགས་པ་བྲལ༔
mik su mé ching nyam dang shakpa dral༔
free from any conceptual reference, beyond all impairment and confession,༔
ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ་ཡེ་རྫོགས་རིག་པའི་ཀློང༌༔
küntuzangpo yé dzok rikpé long༔
is Samantabhadra, always perfect, the vast expanse of awareness,༔
འདུ་འབྲལ་མེད་པ་ཆོས་དབྱིངས་ཀློང་དུ་ཨཱཿ
dudral mepa chöying long du ah༔
ever present as the space of dharmadhātu: āḥ!༔
བཤགས་པའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་རྡོ་རྗེ་ཚིག་གསུམ་པ༔ འཁོར་བ་དོང་སྤྲུགས་ལྕགས་ཁམས་གསེར་འགྱུར་རྩིས༔ ཐེབས་པ་ཇི་བཞིན་མ་རིག་དམ་ཉམས་པ༔ བྱང་གྱུར་བགྲོ་བ་སྐྱོབ་པའི་གདམས་པ་འདི༔ ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོའི་ཐུགས་ཀྱི་ཀློང་ལས་ཤར༔ པདྨས་ཕྱི་རབས་དོན་དུ་བརྡ་རིས་བཀོད༔ ང་སྤྲུལ་སྙིང་གི་བུ་དང་འཕྲད་པར་ཤོག༔ ས་མ་ཡ༔ བུདྷྱ༔ ཤུ་བྷཾ༔ ཁྲག་འཐུང་ལས་ཀྱི་དཔའ་བོས་བརྡ་རིས་ལས་ཕབ་པའོ༔ དགེའོ༔ དགེའོ༔ དགེའོ༔ ༔
This king of all confessions, these vajra verses, will empty samsara from its depths, like the philosopher’s stone turns iron into gold. This is an oral instruction which protects those who have fallen prey to ignorance and impaired their samayas. It burst from the wisdom of Samantabhadra, and I, Padma, set it down in symbolic code for the sake of future generations. May it meet with my emanation, my own heart son! Samaya. Budhya. Śubhaṃ. It was deciphered by Traktung Lekyi Pawo (Do Khyentsé Yeshé Dorjé). May it bring goodness!༔*
