Supplication for the Long Life of Kyapjé Chökyi Nyima Rinpoché
ༀ་སྭ་སྟི། །འཕོ་བྲལ་བདེ་བ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ནི། །
om svasti, podrel dewa chenpö yeshé ni
Oṃ svasti The unchanging wakefulness of great bliss fully manifests
མི་ཤིགས་རྡོ་རྗེའི་ལང་ཚོས་སྒེག་པའི་སྐུར། །
mishik dorjé langtsö gekpé kur
in the graceful form of indestructible vajra youth.
ཡོངས་ཤར་འཕགས་མ་ཡིད་བཞིན་འཁོར་ལོ་ཡིས། །
yongshar phakma yizhin khorlo yi
May the noble wishfulfilling wheel of Tara
དེང་འདིར་འཆི་མེད་རྟག་པའི་བྱིན་ཆེན་ཕོབ། །
dengdir chimé takpé jinchen phop
today shower down the great resplendence of everlasting immortality.
འཇིག་རྟེན་དབང་ཕྱུག་དཔལ་ལྡན་ཀརྨ་པའི། །
jikten wangchuk penden karmapé
The wondrous aspiration of Glorious Karmapa (Karma),
རྨད་བྱུང་ཐུགས་བསྐྱེད་བསམ་གཏན་ལྗོན་པའི་རླུང༌། །
mé jung tukyé samten jönpé lung
lord of this world, is like the river in the forest of meditation (Samten).
མཛེས་བྱེད་གཞན་ཕན་དཔག་བསམ་ཡོངས་འདུའི་དབང༌། །
dzejé zhenpen paksam yongdü wang
Wishfulfilling tree of magnetizing (Yongdü) power, beautifying it for the benefit of others,
མཚུངས་མེད་རྒྱལ་བའི་མྱུ་གུ་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ། །
tsungmé gyelwé nyugu zhapten söl
incomparable son of the buddhas, may your life be long.
ལུང་རྟོགས་མདོ་སྔགས་ཆོས་ཚུལ་པདྨའི་ཚལ། །
lungtok do ngak chö tsül pemé tsel
You unfold the lotus groves of the Dharmas (Chö) of statements and realization,
བཤད་སྒྲུབ་འོད་ཀྱི་སྣང་བས་འབྱེད་མཛད་པ། །
shedrup ö kyi nangwé jé dzépa
Sutra and Mantra, with the illuminating light of (Kyi) teaching and practice.
མཆོག་གསང་ངེས་དོན་བསྟན་པའི་ཉི་མ་ཆེ། །
chok sang ngedön tenpé nyima ché
Great sun (Nyima) of the supreme and secret doctrine of true meaning,
ལྟ་ངན་མུན་པའི་གཤེད་དུ་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ། །
tangen münpé shédu zhapten söl
to destroy the darkness of wrong views, may your life be long.
འབྲེལ་བཅས་ཐར་ལམ་འདྲེན་པའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་རྒྱུན། །
drel ché tarlam drenpé trinlé gyün
Your stream of activity (Trinlé), leading whoever you meet to the path of liberation,
ནམ་ཡང་མི་ཆད་ཡངས་པའི་ས་ཀུན་ཁྱབ། །
namyang mi ché yangpé sa künkhyap
is forever unbroken and all-pervading (Künkhyap)1 throughout the whole earth.
རིས་སུ་མ་མཆིས་བསྟན་དང་འགྲོ་བ་ཡི། །
ri su ma chi ten dang drowa yi
For the sake of being a noble defender of the doctrine and beings,
དཔུང་གཉེན་དམ་པ་ཉིད་དུ་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ། །
pungnyen dampa nyi du zhapten söl
without partiality, may your life be long.
འདྲེན་མཆོག་སྐྱེས་བུའི་ཞབས་པད་བསྐལ་བརྒྱར་བརྟན། །
drenchok kyebü zhap pé kalgyar ten
May the life of this eminent guide last for one hundred eons,
ངེས་དོན་ཆོས་ཀྱི་དབྱངས་སྙན་ཕྱོགས་མཐར་སྒྲོགས། །
ngedön chö kyi yangnyen choktar drok
may the Dharma tones of the true meaning resound to the end of the world,
སྒྲུབ་བརྒྱུད་རིང་ལུགས་སྟོན་གྱི་འབྲས་བཞིན་སྨིན། །
drupgyü ringluk tön gyi drézhin min
may the tradition of the Practice Lineage ripen like crops in autumn,
དགེ་ལེགས་རྫོགས་ལྡན་བཞད་པའི་བཀྲ་ཤིས་ཤོག །
gelek dzokden zhepé trashi shok
and may the auspicious golden age unfold with virtuous goodness.
ཅེས་སྒར་གྲུབ་ཆེན་གྱི་སྐུ་ཕྲེང་བདུན་པ་མཆོག་སྤྲུལ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་ཉི་མ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་བརྟན་བཞུགས་སུ་འཇིགས་བྲལ་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྡོ་རྗེས་ཀུན་དགའི་ལོ་སྨིན་ཟླའི་ཡར་ངོ་བཟང་པོ་གསུམ་པའི་དུས་དགེ་བར་འདུན་སྨོན་དུ་སྤེལ་བ།། །།
Jikdrel Yeshé Dorjé composed this aspiration on the virtuous date of the third day of the month, on the occasion of the long-life ceremony for the eminent Tulku Chökyi Nyima Rinpoché, the seventh incarnation of Gar Drupchen.
