The Feast Offering for the Practice of Sangtik Dorsem, the Single Mudra of Vajrasattva

 

Consecrating the Offering Substances

རྃ་ཡྃ་ཁྃ་གིས་མ་དག་སྦྱངས༔

ram yam kham gi madak jang༔

Raṃ [རྃ] yaṃ [ཡྃ] khaṃ [ཁྃ] purify all taints and stains.༔

སྟོང་པའི་ངང་ལས་བྷྲཱུྃ་ཡིག་ལས༔

tongpé ngang lé bhrum yik lé༔

From within emptiness, from the syllable bhrūṃ [བྷྲཱུྃ]༔

དབྱིངས་ཀྱི་བྷནྡྷ་ཡངས་པའི་ནང་༔

ying kyi bhendha yangpé nang༔

appears a vast, open skull cup of space,༔

ཕུང་ཁམས་ཤ་ལྔ་བདུད་རྩི་ལྔ༔

pung kham sha nga dütsi nga༔

inside of which the aggregates and elements, the five meats and five amritas,༔

མེ་རླུང་སྦྱོར་བས་འོད་དུ་ཞུ༔

mé lung jorwé ö du zhu༔

melt into light through the union of fire and wind.༔

འབྲུ་གསུམ་འོད་ཀྱིས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ལྔའི༔

dru sum ö kyi yéshé ngé༔

The light of the three syllables༔

བདུད་རྩི་སྤྱན་དྲངས་གཉིས་མེད་ཐིམ༔

dütsi chendrang nyimé tim༔

invites the amrita of the five wisdoms, which dissolves inseparably.༔

འདོད་ཡོན་མཆོད་སྤྲིན་སྤྲོ་བར་གྱུར༔

döyön chötrin trowar gyur༔

Offering-clouds of sense pleasures stream forth.༔

ༀ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ༔

om ah hum༔

oṃ āḥ hūṃ༔

 

དང་པོ་མཆོད་པ་ནི།

Presenting the Offering

ཧཱུྃ༔ བསོད་ནམས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཚོགས་རྫོགས་ཕྱིར༔

hum༔ sönam yéshé tsok dzok chir༔

hūṃ༔ To complete the accumulations of merit and wisdom,༔

རང་སྣང་འདོད་ཡོན་མཆོད་སྤྲིན་སྤྲོ༔

rang nang döyön chötrin tro༔

natural offering-clouds of sense pleasures stream forth.༔

བླ་མ་རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་ལ་སོགས༔

lama dorjé sem la sok༔

O Guru Vajrasattva and the host of mandala deities,༔

དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་ལྷ་ཚོགས་མཉེས་གྱུར་ཅིག༔

kyilkhor lha tsok nyé gyur chik༔

may this offering delight you!༔

ༀ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་སོགས། གཎ་ཙཀྲ་པཱུ་ཛ་ཧོཿ

om bendza sato… ganatsakra puza hoh༔

oṃ vajrasattva… gaṇacakra pūjā hoḥ༔

 

བར་བ་བཤགས་པ་ནི།

The Second Offering for Confession

ཧོཿ ཐོག་མེད་དུས་ནས་བསགས་པ་ཡི༔

hoh༔ tokmé dü né sakpa yi༔

hoḥ༔ The whole mass of karma, afflictions, and obscurations༔

ལས་དང་ཉོན་མོངས་སྒྲིབ་པའི་ཚོགས༔

lé dang nyönmong dripé tsok༔

accumulated since time without beginning,༔

ཉམས་ཆགས་འགལ་འཁྲུལ་ཅི་མཆིས་པ༔

nyamchak gel trül chi chipa༔

and whatever violations have been committed, whatever breaches, transgressions, and errors—༔

ཞལ་ཟས་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་མཆོད་པས་བཤགས༔

zhelzé tsok kyi chöpé shak༔

I confess them all with this banquet gathering offering!༔

ས་མ་ཡ་ཤུ་དྡྷེ་ཨཿ

samaya shudhé ah༔

samaya śuddhe aḥ

 

Short Feast Offering

ཧཱུྃ༔ བཅོམ་ལྡན་འཁོར་དང་བཅས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས༔

hum༔ chomden khor dang ché nam kyi༔

hūṃ༔ Bhagavān and retinue,༔

མཆོད་པ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་འདི་བཞེས་ཤིག༔

chöpa gyatso di zhé shik༔

please accept this ocean of offerings!༔

ཉམས་ཆགས་རྒྱ་མཚོ་མ་ལུས་བཤགས༔

nyamchak gyatso malü shak༔

The ocean of violations and breaches I confess!༔

ཐུགས་དམ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་མ་ལུས་བསྐང་༔

tukdam gyatso malü kang༔

May the ocean of sacred bonds be fulfilled!༔

དངོས་གྲུབ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་སྩལ་དུ་གསོལ༔

ngödrup gyatso tsel du söl༔

Grant, I beseech you, an ocean of siddhis!༔

ཕྲིན་ལས་རྒྱ་མཚོ་མ་ལུས་སྒྲུབས༔

trinlé gyatso malü drup༔

Perform, I entreat you, an ocean of activities!༔

ཚིག་རྐང་ཕྱི་མ་དྲུག་པོ་ཚར་གྲངས་གྲུབ་ན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་དོན་འདུས་པས་ལེགས།

It is excellent if you can repeat these last six lines, since they encompass all aims.

 

ཐ་མ་བསྒྲལ་བསྟབ་ནི།

The Final, Liberation Offering

ཧཱུྃ༔ རང་སྣང་འཁྲུལ་པའི་དུག་གསུམ་དགྲ་བགེགས་རྣམས༔

hum༔ rang nang trülpé duk sum dra gek nam༔

hūṃ༔ Enemies and obstructers, the three poisons of deluded self-appearance,༔

རྣམ་ཐར་གསུམ་དུ་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཆེན་པོས་བསྒྲལ༔

namtar sum du yéshé chenpö drel༔

are freed by great wisdom into the threefold liberation.༔

བག་ཆགས་སྦྱངས་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཚོགས་མཆོད་འདི༔

bakchak jangpé yéshé tsok chö di༔

This wisdom gathering offering of purified habitual patterns༔

བདེ་བར་གཤེགས་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཞལ་དུ་བསྟབས༔

dewar shekpa nam kyi zhel du tap༔

I offer up to the mouths of the sugatas.༔

མ་ཏྲཾ་རུ་དྲ་མཱ་ར་ཡ་ཕཊ༔ མཱཾ་ས་རཀྟ་ཀིཾ་ནི་རི་ཏི་ཁཱ་ཧི༔

matram rudra maraya pé༔ mamsa rakta kimni riti khahi༔

mātraṃ rudra māraya phaṭ༔ māṃsa rakta kiṃni riti khāhi༔

གལ་ཏེ་ཚོགས་འབུམ་ཐེར་ལ་སོགས་བསག་དགོས་པའི་ཚེ་འདི་ཡན་སོང་ནས། ༀ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་གིས་བྱིན་བརླབ། ༀ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་ཨཱཿས་པ་རི་ཝཱ་ར་ག་ཎ་ཙཀྲ་པཱུ་ཛ་ཁ་ཁ་ཁཱ་ཧི་ཁཱ་ཧིཿ ཞེས་འབུལ། ཧཱུྃ༔ བཅོམ་ལྡན་འཁོར་དང་བཅས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས༔ སོགས་གོང་གསལ་ཚིག་རྐང་དྲུག་པོས་སྐོང་བཤགས་བྱ་སྟེ་དེ་ལ་གྲངས་བཟུང་ངོ༌། །

If you need to accumulate one hundred thousand gathering offerings or another amount: when you reach this point, say oṃ āḥ hūṃ to consecrate; present the offering with oṃ vajrasattva āḥ saparivāra gaṇacakra pūja khakha khāhi khāhi; and fulfill and confess with the six lines found above, beginning “hūṃ༔ Bhagavān and retinue,༔” and count repetitions of that.

བརྡའི་འབུལ་ལེན་བཅས་ཚོགས་ལ་རོལ།

Then, accompanied by the symbolic gestures of offering and receiving, revel in the gathering offering.

Offering the Remainder

ལྷག་མ་བདུད་རྩིས་བྲན་ལ།

Sprinkle the remainder with amrita, and consecrate it by reciting:

ༀ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་གསུམ་གྱིས་བརླབ།

om ah hum

oṃ āḥ hūṃ

Three times.

བྷྱོཿ དཔལ་གྱི་བཀའ་ཉན་ལྷག་སྡུད་རྣམས༔

joh༔ pel gyi kanyen lhak dü nam༔

bhyoḥ.༔ Attendants and aides of the Glorious One, you who collect the residuals—༔

འདོད་ཡོན་བདུད་རྩི་འདི་གསོལ་ལ༔

döyön dütsi di söl la༔

partake of this amrita of sense pleasures༔

སྔོན་གྱི་ཐ་ཚིག་ཇི་བཞིན་དུ༔

ngön gyi tatsik jizhin du༔

and, in accord with your promises made in former times,༔

བཅོལ་བའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་འགྲུབ་པར་མཛོད༔

chölwé trinlé drupar dzö༔

accomplish the activities we ask of you!༔

ཨུཙྪིཥྚ་བ་ལིཾ་ཏ་ཁཱ་ཧི༔

utsita balingta khahi༔

ucchiṣṭa baliṅte khāhi༔

ཞེས་ཕྱིར་འབུལ།

With that, offer the remainder outside.

མདུན་བསྐྱེད་ལ་མཆོད་བསྟོད་མདོར་བསྡུས་དང༌། ཡིག་བརྒྱ། མེ་རྙེད་ཡོངས་སུ་སོགས་ཀྱི་བཟོད་གསོལ།

Make a concise offering and praise to the front visualization, and then recite the Hundred Syllables and request forgiveness with:

ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་གུ་རུ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་ཨརྒྷཾ་པཱཏྱཾ་པུཥྤེ་དྷཱུ་པེ་ཨཱ་ལོ་ཀེ་གནྡྷེ་ནཻ་བིདྱ་ཤཔྡ་སརྦ་པཉྩ་རཀྟ་བ་ལིངྟ་པཱུ་ཛ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ༔

om ah hung guru benza sato argham padyam pushpé dhupé aloké gandhé nevidyé shapda sarwa pentsa rakta balingta puza ah hung༔

oṃ āḥ hūṃ guru vajrasattva arghaṃ pādyam puṣpe dhūpe aloke gandhe naivedye śabda sarva-pañca-rakta-baliṅta pūja āḥ hūṃ༔

 

མི་རྟོག་རྡོ་རྗེ་ཐབས་ཀྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ནི། །

mitok dorjé tap kyi yeshé ni

You are the primordial awareness of skillful means—the indestructible state beyond all concepts,

དམིགས་མེད་ཤེས་རབ་ཡུམ་གྱི་ངང་དུ་རྟོགས། །

mikmé sherap yum gyi ngang du tok

realized in the nature of the Great Mother, transcendental wisdom free from any reference,

ཐུགས་རྗེའི་བྱེ་བྲག་སྣ་ཚོགས་ཅིར་ཡང་བསྟོད། །

tukjé jedrak natsok chiryang tön

displaying your compassion, in all its variety, in every kind of way—

རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཆེ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བསྟོད། །

dorjé sempa ché la chaktsel tö

O Great Vajrasattva, to you I pay homage!

 

མ་རྙེད་ཡོངས་སུ་མ་ཚང་དང་། །

ma nyé yongsu ma tsang dang

For anything lacking or incomplete,

གང་ཡང་ནུས་པ་མ་མཆིས་པས། །

gang yang nüpa machipé

or beyond my ability to perform—

འདིར་ནི་བགྱི་བ་གང་ནོངས་པ། །

dir ni gyiwa gang nongpa

whatever mistakes I have committed,

དེ་ཀུན་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་བཟོད་མཛད་རིགས། །

dé kün khyö kyi zö dzé söl

please bear witness and forgive them all!

རྟེན་ཡོད་ན་སྤྱི་མཐུན་བརྟན་བཞུགས་བྱས་ཀྱང་ཆོག་ལ།

If you have supports, you can perform the request to remain as it is commonly done:

ཨོཾ། འདིར་ནི་རྟེན་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་ཏུ། །

om, dirni ten dang lhenchik du

Om. Remain here, inseparable from these supports

འཁོར་བ་སྲིད་དུ་བཞུགས་ནས་ཀྱང་། །

khorwa sidu zhuk né kyang

for as long as samsara exists,

ནད་མེད་ཚེ་དང་དབང་ཕྱུག་དང་། །

nemé tsédang wangchuk dang

and graciously bestow on us everything sublime—

མཆོག་རྣམས་ལེགས་པར་སྩལ་དུ་གསོལ། །

chok nam lekpar tseldu söl

good health, long life, mastery, and the like!

ཨོཾ་སུ་པྲ་ཏིཥྛ་བཛྲ་ཡེ་སྭཱཧཱ།

om sutra tishta benzayé soha

oṃ supratiṣṭha vajraye svāhā

མེད་ན།

If you do not have supports, say:

མདུན་བསྐྱེད་རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའ་རང་ལ་བསྟིམ༔

dün kyé dorjé sempa rang la tim

Dissolve into yourself the Vajrasattva that you have visualized in front.༔

སྣང་སྲིད་འོད་ཞུ་རྟེན་དང་བརྟེན་པར་ཐིམ༔

nangsi ö zhu ten dang tenpar tim༔

All phenomenal appearances melt into light and dissolve into the support and supported.༔

སྲུང་འཁོར་འབྱུང་བ་གཞལ་ཡས་ཁང་དང་ཁྲི༔

sungkhor jungwa zhelyé khang dang tri༔

The protection circle, elements, celestial palace, throne,༔

དངོས་པོ་རྒྱན་རྣམས་ཡབ་ཡུམ་སོ་སོར་ཐིམ༔

ngöpo gyen nam yapyum sosor tim༔

and ornaments dissolve, one by one, into the Lord and Lady.༔

ཡབ་ཡུམ་འོད་ཞུ་རྡོ་རྗེ་སྔགས་ཕྲེང་ལ༔

yapyum ö zhu dorjé ngak treng la༔

The Lord and Lady, too, melt into light, then into the vajra, into the mantra garland,༔

དེ་ཡང་ཧཱུྃ་ལ་ཧཱུྃ་ཡང་ནཱ་དའི་བར༔

deyang hum la hum yang nadé bar༔

and into the hūṃ [ཧཱུྃ]; then the hūṃ [ཧཱུྃ], too, dissolves into the nāda,༔

དེ་ཉིད་མི་དམིགས་ཀ་དག་ངང་ལ་བཞག༔

dé nyi mimik kadak ngang la zhak༔

which is released into reference-free primordial purity.༔

 

སླར་ཡང་རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའི་སྐུ་རུ་ལངས༔

lar yang dorjé sempé ku ru lang༔

Once more I arise in the form of Vajrasattva.༔

ཞེས་འོད་གསལ་འཇུག་ལྡང་བྱ།

Saying that, perform the dissolution and re-arising within luminosity.

བླ་མ་རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའ་དགོངས༔

lama dorjé sempa gong༔

Guru Vajrasattva, watch over me!༔

འདི་ལྟར་དགེ་སྤྱད་བསོད་ནམས་གང་༔

ditar gé ché sönam gang༔

All merit accrued through this virtue༔

མཐའ་ཡས་སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ལ་བསྔོ༔

tayé semchen nam la ngo༔

I dedicate now to the endless ranks of beings.༔

སྒྲིབ་གཉིས་ཀུན་ཟད་ཡོན་ཏན་རྫོགས༔

drip nyi kün zé yönten dzok༔

May the two obscurations be exhausted, and excellent qualities perfected!༔

འགལ་རྐྱེན་ཀུན་ཞི་མཐུན་རྐྱེན་འབྱོར༔

gelkyen kün zhi tünkyen jor༔

May all adverse conditions be pacified, and conducive conditions gathered!༔

བླ་མེད་བྱང་ཆུབ་གནས་ཐོབ་ཤོག༔

lamé jangchup né top shok༔

May we attain the state of unsurpassable awakening!༔

ཅེས་བསྔོ་སྨོན་གྱིས་རྒྱས་གདབ། བཀྲ་ཤིས་པའི་ཚིགས་བཅད་གང་རུང་བརྗོད་པས་འགྲུབ་བོ། །

With that, seal with dedications and aspirations. Conclude by reciting suitable verses for auspiciousness.
