All donations and proceeds from the sales of Samye Translations publications go towards funding further projects, and supporting our ongoing endeavor to make the teachings of our precious guru and of his lineage masters available to students across the world. This includes the translation of practice texts and of the writings of past masters, a time-consuming and demanding work that requires a team of translators, supported by editors, proofreaders and more.
Our work also includes the translation and transcription of Rinpoche’s oral teachings. Transcripts are used by our writers and editors to create new books and materials to further inspire students in their study and practice. All Samye Translations content therefore require the contribution of a wide range of people and skills, in addition to the costs of typesetting, printing and distribution. By contributing to Samye Translation, you are thus supporting our team in their efforts to serve the Dharma and beings.

Though we try to support the work of our contributors as much as possible, we necessarily also rely on the work of volunteers for many tasks. In accordance with our aspiration to make our translations available globally, further support is greatly needed. Volunteering opportunities are available across a wide spectrum of activities— from primary text translation to sales and marketing, you can help contribute to our ongoing mission to ensure that the Buddha’s teachings are available to the widest audience possible. Regardless of your location, any time and skills that you have to offer in the following areas would participate in supporting the study and practice of students worldwide: translation, editing, graphic design, marketing, fundraising, communications, IT, and finance management.
