skillfully you teach them, with their emotions so unruly, so difficult to tame.༔

nyizer char dü dang la chip té jön༔
riding on the rays of the rising and setting sun;༔
ཡར་ངོ་ཚེས་བཅུ་དག་ལ་དངོས་སུ་བྱོན༔

and on the tenth day of the waxing moon, you come in person.༔

the five poisons of the negative emotions grow more violent in all sentient beings.༔

Recklessly we indulge the destructive emotions, let the poisons dominate our minds.༔

At a time like this, let your compassion be our refuge and protection.༔

menacing with destruction the great centers of the Dharma,༔

when diseases plunge us into unbearable suffering and agony,༔

in the courage and confidence of a samaya that is free of all pretense,༔

when our way is blocked and we are cut off by storms, by rain and snow,༔

drok chen jikpé trang la drimpé tsé༔
as we make our way over terrifying passes, through wild and desolate places,༔
ཡིད་གཉིས་ཐེ་ཚོམ་མེད་པར་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས༔

if we are racked by the intense anguish and pain of dying,༔
ཡིད་གཉིས་ཐེ་ཚོམ་མེད་པར་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས༔
yinyi tetsom mepar sölwa dep༔
with no trace of doubt or hesitation we pray:༔
གུ་རུ་སྣང་བ་མཐའ་ཡས་སྤྲུལ་པ་སྟེ༔
guru nangwa tayé trülpa té༔
O Guru Rinpoche, as you are the emanation of Buddha Amitābha,༔

it is certain we will be born in ‘The Blissful’ pure realm of Dewachen.༔

Guru Conqueror over the Delusion of the Bardo

gyulü yarpo zhikpé bardo ru༔
Once this borrowed karmic body is destroyed༔*
འཁྲུལ་སྣང་ཉིང་འཁྲུལ་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཉེན་པ་ན༔
trülnang nyingtrül dukngel nyenpa na༔
in the bardo state, when our deluded experiences and further delusions arise to make us suffer,༔
ཡིད་གཉིས་ཐེ་ཚོམ་མེད་པར་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས༔

with no trace of doubt or hesitation we pray:༔

Guru Dispeller of the Suffering of Dying

When we are overwhelmed by karma and circumstance,༔
འཁྲུལ་སྣང་དངོས་པོར་ཞེན་ཅིང་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ན༔
trülnang ngöpor zhen ching dukngel na༔
and we suffer through grasping at delusion as real,༔
ཡིད་གཉིས་ཐེ་ཚོམ་མེད་པར་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས༔

with no trace of doubt or hesitation we pray:༔
གུ་རུ་བདེ་ཆེན་རྒྱལ་པོའི་ངོ་བོ་སྟེ༔

O Guru Rinpoche, King of Great Bliss,༔

you will utterly destroy the delusions that bring suffering.༔

Guru Refuge of the Six Classes of Beings

When beings of all six realms are tormented by immense pain,༔
ཁྱད་པར་བོད་ཀྱི་རྗེ་འབངས་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ན༔
khyepar bö kyi jebang dukngel na༔
and especially when our leaders and people are engulfed in suffering,༔
དད་གུས་མོས་པའི་གདུང་ཤུགས་དྲག་པོ་ཡིས༔
dé gü möpé dungshuk drakpo yi༔
with intense longing and devotion, from the depths of our hearts,༔
ཡིད་གཉིས་ཐེ་ཚོམ་མེད་པར་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས༔
yinyi tetsom mepar sölwa dep༔

ཞེས་པའང་རྩོད་བྲལ་དུས་བབ་ཀྱི་སྤྲུལ་པའི་གཏེར་སྟོན་ཆེན་པོ་ཨོ་རྒྱན་མཆོག་གྱུར་བདེ་ཆེན་གླིང་པས་མདོ་ཁམས་ནོར་བུ་སྤུན་གསུམ་གྱི་བྲག་རིན་ཆེན་འབར་བའི་མགུལ་ནས་སྤྱན་དྲངས་པའི་བླ་མའི་ཐུགས་སྒྲུབ་ཡིད་བཞིན་ནོར་བུའི་ཞལ་གདམས་མན་ངག་བཅུ་གསུམ་ལས་ཕྱི་གསོལ་འདེབས་ཀྱི་ཚུལ་དུ་སྒྲུབ་པ་ལས་ཁོལ་དུ་ཕྱུང་བ་སྟེ།
Without question, the great treasure revealer Orgyen Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa manifested specifically for this time. From the slope of Drak Rinchen Barwa in Norbu Pünsüm in Dokham, he revealed the thirteen pith instructions of ‘The Guru’s Heart Practice: The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel’— the Lamé Tukdrup Yishin Norbu. This prayer forms the outer practice of this revelation.
འདིས་ཀྱང་རིས་སུ་མ་ཆད་པའི་བསྟན་གྲོའི་ཕན་བདེའི་འདོད་རྒུ་ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ་པའི་རྒྱུར་གྱུར་ཅིག མངྒ་ལཾ།། །།
This prayer forms the outer practice of this revelation. May it spontaneously bring about the boundless spread of the doctrine and the complete benefit and happiness of beings! Maṅgalaṃ!
